Q. What are your hours of service? A. Our normal operating hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Special arrangements may be made by contacting a specific warehouse. Q. When do you charge overtime? A. Trucks that arrive after 3:00 PM and are not loaded or unloaded by 5:00 PM will be subject to overtime charges. We would be glad to offer extended hours, at our current overtime tariff rate. Q. Are appointments necessary? A. This varies by warehouse: Q. Does the truck driver need pallets? Can they buy them from the warehouse? A. Yes, the truck driver does need pallets. We do offer pallet exchange or the truck driver may purchase pallets from the warehouse. Should product be delivered on pallets, we expect all deliveries to be made on No.1 40"x48" four-way GMA pallets. Q. Are order numbers required? A. Yes, in general we prefer order numbers, exceptions are discouraged. Q. If loads are to be floor loaded, does the truck driver have to help? A. We will furnish, at no extra charge, one man to assist the truck driver in loading or unloading floor loads. Truck or container must be at dock by 2:30 PM or may be subject to overtime charges. Floor loads where truck driver does not help will be assessed an additional charge based on the current tariff rate. Q. Do you have slip sheeting capabilities? A. Yes, there is a per pallet charge based on the current tariff rate. Q. Do you shrink wrap product? A. Upon request we will shrink wrap with a charge based on our current tariff rate. Q. Do you seal the trucks after loading? A. No, unless requested by the customer. Q. Can orders be called in or do you prefer a facsimile? A. Orders can be called in, but facsimiles are the preferred method. We are not responsible for errors resulting from a phone order. Q. Can we get inventory reports faxed to us? A. Yes, weekly and/or monthly inventory reports can be faxed. Q. Can you overnight samples with dry ice? A. Please call the specific warehouse, most warehouses are capable. Applicable rates will be charged. Q. Is there a charge for stenciling product? A. Yes, based upon the current tariff rate. Q. Do you arrange for trucking on orders? A. No, however, we would be glad to supply you with a listing of trucking firms we have referred in the past. Q. Do you charge for physical inventories? A. Yes, based upon the current tariff rate. Q. Do you allow overnight parking? A. Yes. Q. How can the truck driver pay for extra charges (overtime, pallets, etc.)? A. Comcheks, TCheks, cashiers check or cash. Q. Do you carry Warehouseman's Legal Liability insurance? A. Yes, all of our warehousing divisions carry Warehouseman's Legal Liability insurance with limits that vary by division from $7,500,000 at our smallest warehouses to $40,000,000 at our two largest warehouses. Our insurance carrier can send proof of insurance directly to you. |
